World Thinking Day, celebrated on February 22nd, is a global event observed by Girl Guides and Girl Scouts to promote international friendship and raise awareness of important global issues. Established in 1926 by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), the day also honors the shared birthday of Lord Robert Baden-Powell and his wife, Olave Baden-Powell, founders of the Scouting and Guiding movements. Each year, WAGGGS selects a theme to inspire young people to take action and make a difference in their communities. Through activities, fundraising, and educational programs, World Thinking Day encourages millions of young people to connect, learn, and contribute to a better world.
